When I was in third grade, I drew my "dream home" on some pieces of paper (I still have it!) so from a young age I was set out to be a designer. I knew I was creative but didn't originally go to college for design. I took one semester of business classes and realized it was too boring for me, so I enrolled in the Interior Design program at The University of Oklahoma. Upon graduating, I worked locally in Tulsa, Oklahoma before moving on to work in Northern California. At both firms, I specialized in commercial design.

In early 2020, I realized I wanted to work on the residential side so I started Onyx Lane Design Studio as a little side gig. ​In 2024, I left the corporate world behind to run this full time. Since then, my husband started a residential construction company where we get to design and build fully custom homes for our clients. My goal is to create a home that you love in fifty years just as much as the day you walked in for the first time.
